An amazing singer, songwriter and entertainer, Roger "RD" Cummings has transcended on May 12, 2019 at the young age of 68 years.
His mother Loletta O'Brien (Ray) bought him a guitar when he was young and he never looked back. Roger led many bands, wrote many heartfelt songs including, 'Main Street Bride', 'Oldtimer', 'Aces & Eights'. Country River Band entertained thousands in Manitoba and Ontario since the early 1980s. Forever changed and SAVED at Faith Bible Camp, he became a husband and father at 23 and later a grandfather who adores his family.
He is survived on earth, celebrated by his music partner and wife Lori (47 years); his sons, Sean (Lisa) and Travis (Stephanie); his multi-talented grandchildren, Kieran and Kaity; his sister LoAnne Karras (Chuck), many friends, musicians and fans.

A Celebration of Life, music, laughter and love will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church).

I knew Roger from our days at Tec in the late 60s. The last time I saw him was at the El Rancho in Lethbridge Alberta. At the time we hadn't seen each other for about 15 years, but recognized each other immediately. He put on a great show as a one man band. Time catches up with all of us.
