GISELE KEENAN

With deep sadness we announce passing of our beautiful mother Gisele (Laroche) (Golke) Keenan, on May 13, 2019, one month short of her 88th birthday.
Leaving to mourn her passing are her daughters, Michelle and husband Barry Gillies, Sue and husband Gord Defoort; her son Marc Golke; her grandchildren, Dave and wife Jennifer Defoort, and Luke Defoort; and her most recent pride and joy, her great-grandchildren, Austyn, Evelyn and Letty; sister Therese and husband Oriele; brother Alain; and many nieces and nephews.
Gisele was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Alphonse Laroche; brothers, Raymond, Jean-Guy and Gilles; sisters, Hugette and Denise. Widowed by Harry Golke and Joseph Keenan.
Gisele was born on June 12, 1931 in Laval, Quebec and moved to Winnipeg in 1956. She started her career as a Hairstylist in 1966 and in 1996 she retired from hairstyling. Over the years, she managed different beauty salons and later opened her own shop, Gisele's Hairstyling for Men. She will be lovingly remembered for her delicious baking and food care packages.
Many thanks to the nursing staff at Foyer Valade, St. Vital for care and compassion during Mom's stay.
A celebration of Gisele's life will be held in private by family in Cypress River, Manitoba at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a donation may sent to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
