MARGARET WIENS
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Larrie (Gail), Leonard (Elaine) and Raymond (Barbara); daughter Beverly Franzmann (Robert); nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; as well as two brothers, Hank (Helen) and Dave (Mary); along with many family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, and husband Jake (2012), three sisters and one brother.
Born in Morden and raised on a farm, eventually moving to Winnipeg to work. She married Jake Wiens in 1947. They lived in Winnipeg for two years before moving to Carman where they farmed until 1973. They retired from farming and moved to Winnipeg where she worked as a maid until 1982 when she retired.
She loved her gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and in later years she loved her puzzles.
Her children would like to thank all the staff at Lindenwood Terrace as well as the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for all of their excellent care.
A private service was held on May 13, 2019.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to: Diabetes Canada - Manitoba division.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
