WILLIAM STEVEN BASHUCKY
March 2, 1950 - May 9, 2019
Bill will be lovingly missed by his wife of 45 years, Debbie; son Jay, daughter-in-law Christina and granddaughters, Tristin and Ainsley; his daughter Kyla; and many other cherished family members whom he loved spending time with.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Anne Bashucky in 2002.
Bill had a long successful career in the food and beverage industry as the Plant Manager at both Carling O'Keefe and Molson's Brewery in Winnipeg. He retired, in September 2015, after 18 years as Plant Manager at Old Dutch Foods.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, and agonizingly watching the Blue Bombers play football! But, above all else, Bill was a family man who enjoyed being at home with family and friends around him. Nothing made Papa's eyes light up more than seeing his granddaughters (his girls) come running for a big hug and kiss!
Even though our hearts are heavy with sadness today, we carry memories that will get us through these hard times and we will look back on them with love in all of our tomorrows.
A family graveside service was held, as requested by Bill, with Pastor Peter Lurvey officiating.
If so desired, a donation to CancerCare Manitoba can be made in Bill's memory.

So sad to hear about Bill's passing. My deepest condolences to Debbie & family. My memory of Bill goes back to the 1960s as a nice intelligent person who loved music and specifically The Rolling Stones. Rest in peace Bill. - Posted by: Linda Garn (Friend) on: May 22, 2019

I have many fond memories of Bill when we both worked at Carling Brewery in the 1970s. There were many evenings spent in Bill and Debbies' basement listening to Bill and a few of his friends playing the Blues. He had a huge collection of Blues albums and Bill would play a few of his favorites. While he was working at Old Dutch we would bump into each other now and then. Once he was picking up sushi at Superstore in his way home. I think it was one of his favorite foods. Our condolences to Debbie and family on the loss of a very special guy. He'll be missed by many, many friends. Hazen and Val Steeves - Posted by: Hazen and Val Steeves (Friend and former coworker at Carling Breweries in the 1970s) on: May 21, 2019

Bill and I became friends in the mid 1960s. I saw him in the late 1970s when we went to a Toronto Maple Leaf hockey game while he was in Toronto on business. I had been looking for him for the last four years but could not locate him. Sad to hear about another good old teen age friend. - Posted by: doug weber (friend) on: May 19, 2019
