CHRISTINE MARION MUIR
(nee URQUHART)
January 19, 1933 - May 11, 2019
She is survived by her family: Peter, Shona, Scott (Laura), Montana (Ryan), Joe Anne, Howard, Janaiya (Mario) and Sarah (Evan); her special niece Jodee (Greg), and lifelong friend Ina Birch.
Mom loved to knit, sew, sing and walk. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends at her favourite place, Bird Lake. She was happiest there, walking around the block, working on her puzzle books, reading, knitting and enjoying happy hour. Grandma was a big supporter of her grandchildren and was happy to attend their activities and be a quiet cheerleader.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Rosewood Retirement Home and Westpark Manor Personal Care Home for their care and comfort of Chris over the past 10 years.
A small memorial service will be held this summer after the return of family members from overseas studies.
Flowers are gratefully declined in favour of your support of the FortWhyte Alive Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

Dear Joanne & Peter, Another Mom of Fort Whyte has passed, but left us with Many Cherished Memories. The Company Home hosted many wedding showers & events for our Little Community. Mrs. Muir was always willing to help out. I truly remember her sewing many costumes for our little plays at Fort Whyte School. Choose a Memory that brings a smile to your Hearts, & Cherish it Always . Thank you Mrs. Muir..... Shirley Lepoder Thomas - Posted by: Shirley Lepoder Thomas (neighbours) on: May 18, 2019

Peter, Joanne and families, During our teens several of Peter's friends would be invited into the Muir living room where we enjoyed our evenings. Pete's mom and dad were there and really made us comfortable and welcome. Chris always showed a kind and caring attitude, genuinely showed interest in our activities, and we all enjoyed her company. Please accept our condolences on hearing of her passing. We we always have fond memories of her. Sincerely, Lindsay and Chris - Posted by: Lindsay Thompson (Friend) on: May 18, 2019
