DOUGLAS TIEMROTH THORSTEINSON
Doug, son of Wanda and Valdi Thorsteinson, husband to Patricia (Aitkenhead) Thorsteinson was surrounded by his family as he found peace after his battle with Lewy Body dementia.
He is survived by his three loving daughters: Shawnee Guarino and husband Chris Guarino, Andrea Thorsteinson and husband Rock Trembath, Erika Thorsteinson and husband Patrick Cowtan; and one cherished granddaughter: Cadence Guarino.
Doug was born on October 2, 1948 in Steep Rock, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg at the age of five. He had a full career at Great West Life, retiring at the age of 50. He loved reading, crossword puzzles, carpentry and spending summer days at his cottage at Lake Manitoba Narrows.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life to honour his passing.
