SALLY (BARBARA) WELLS
September 18, 1931 - May 20, 2019

Sally passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, May 20, 2019.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter Gerald Wells, February 20, 1998. Sally is survived by her children, Christopher (Heather), Alison (Allan), Helen (Karl) and Robyn (Garry), 24 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her brother John and extended family in England.
Sally was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1966. Sally and Pete became Christians early in their marriage. Sally's strong faith sustained her throughout her lifetime. She lived each day with thanksgiving in her heart, which was evident in the many prayer journals she wrote over the years. Sally loved her family and sharing stories about them; we feel the loss of our greatest cheerleader. Sally was an avid reader and knitter, blessing many families with one of her little bears.
Sally and Peter lived in numerous Canadian cities before they retired in Winnipeg. They enjoyed many years of sailing together at the Gimli Yacht Club. The latter part of her life, Sally lived in Meadowood Manor where she expressed her love for music in various ways. She began a choir called the Meadowlarks. The Meadowlarks sang for years which gave Sally great pleasure as she looked forward to weekly rehearsals and planning various concerts. Sally loved and respected Pastor Dave Holland and his wife Darlene, from Meadowood. They became great friends over the years.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gian Haggard for the many years of patient and kind care he gave our mom.
Please join us for a celebration of Sally's wonderful life Sunday, June 9, 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. A private family interment has already taken place.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Chaplaincy Program at Meadowood Manor, 577 St. Anne's Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 5B2, or to the charity of your choice.
