DENA ELAINE HENDERSON
August 4, 1967 - May 26, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dena, devoted mother, partner, daughter, sister and friend to all whose lives she touched. She slipped away quietly on May 26, 2019.
She is survived by her daughters, Zoe and Tia Dupont, Little Joe whom she loved as her own, mother Lorraine Palmer, her brother Dax (Trish) and sister Alana, nieces, Tori and Jordan and nephews, Ethan and Zachary, her aunt Clara (Richard) and by her cousins, Jerod, Aaron, Kimberly and Carol, all of whom loved her and will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her father Larry Henderson and stepfather Barry Palmer, and grandparents, Leonard and Christine Liberty.
Dena started life in Winnipeg but soon moved to Beausejour, Manitoba. Here Dena met many lifelong friends while attending school. Dena and her friends shared many epic camping adventures. Dena moved to Winnipeg in her 20s and strived at various jobs. Dena then moved to Sagkeeng to pursue her education.
Dena met Norman and had two beautiful daughters. Dena loved the outdoors, fishing, four-wheeler adventures, gardening, taking long drives and spending time with her girls. Dena was an accomplished scholar who loved learning, she attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with an Advanced Aboriginal Governance and Business Management Degree.
Dena finally settled in Powerview, buying and renovating her house, an accomplishment she was proud of.
Dena was very loving, caring and outgoing. She loved to laugh and enjoy life. Everyone would know when she was around as her one-of-a-kind laugh filled the room. We will miss you Dena.
In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, a donation may be made to the Trust Fund set up for Dena's children.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Christ Anglican Church, Sagkeeng First Nation.

It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our mother, daughter, sister and friend, Dena, who passed away on May 26, 2019, at the age of 51.
She leaves her precious daughters, Zoe and Tia.
Funeral service will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Sagkeeng First Nation, on Saturday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m.
