BEVERLEY JOAN SARNA
(CHORNENKI)
December 26, 1942 - June 2, 2019

It is with heavy hearts, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother (mama) and friend, Bev Sarna on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at the age of 76.
Bev is lovingly remembered by her children, Barbara Jo (Andy) and Michael (Kathy); grandchildren, Jaclyn, Lauryn, McKenna, Karissa and Lukas. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Bonnie (Glenn) and niece Shannon. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Julia, and many other extended family members and friends.
The most important part of Bev's life was her family. She was her children and grandchildren's number one fan at their sporting or school events where they could always hear her cheering them on with her unique voice.
A big part of Bev's life was her time at the Petersfield Motor Hotel, as being one of the original owners back in 1972. Then in June, 1994, Bev became the new owner of the Mountain Motor Inn (Stony Mountain) and made the Mountain a place where everyone was treated like family, until she sold and retired in July, 2005.
After Bev retired, she settled in her house on Netley Creek, in Petersfield where she enjoyed hosting and entertaining family and friends. There there was always laughter, music and tons of food. Bev had a love for flowers, music and the Winnipeg Jets, in which she rarely missed watching a game.
Bev will always be remembered for her generous nature, endless energy and huge smile that could fill a room.

We love you mom, mama and Bevvy.
Till we meet again.

The family would like to thank the SICU staff at the Health Sciences Centre and Victoria Hospital day surgery and short stay unit for all of their support and care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Gilbart's Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street in Selkirk, Manitoba.

Condolences may be left on her tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
