VIOLET ANN SEMENCHUK

Violet Ann Semenchuk, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Red River Place in Selkirk, MB on June 2, 2019.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1991, her sisters, Laura, Ginny, Bernice, Lillian and brothers, Stanley and Walter.
Left to mourn her passing is daughter Lori (Randy), grandchildren, Carla (Matt) and Darren (Shelby), and great-grandson Jackson.
Mom was born and raised in Birds Hill, MB and at an early age began her love for gardening. Although times were often a struggle, growing up in a large family gave her many of the values she carried with her until her passing. The strength and tenacity she held, carried her through many a hardship that most others would have thrown in the towel over. Faith also played an important role in her life, she was proud to have unwavered belief in God, and often prayed for each and every one of us. The closeness of Mom to her siblings was clearly important, as letters to those who lived far away were constant, and for those who lived near were blessed with frequent visits and phone calls.
We would like to thank everyone for their kind words, tender care, and love. To Sylvia and Gheeta at Red River Place, you girls were #1 in her books, and for that we are grateful.
Mom will be carried to her final resting place beside Dad by Stanley Copp Jr., George Prigroski, Eugene Prigroski, Randy Gustafson, Matt Bon and Darren Hoeck.
Funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB.
