PEGGY MARIAN LINDSAY
May 8, 1928 - June 3, 2019

Peacefully at home, under her own terms, Peggy Lindsay left us for a better place. She was a young 91-year-old, sharp as a tack with a memory like a steel trap. Fiercely independent, she was also vulnerable, gentle and gracious. She loved a good laugh and had a wry sense of humour. Peggy always had a kind word for all and was generous to a fault. Her home was warm and welcoming. She never complained through her aches and pains saying, "It could be worse".
Peggy was predeceased by husband Bill in 1992. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda (Craig), her son Bill (Jane), her granddaughters, Devin and Vivian, and many friends. She valued them all, and especially cherished her relationships with Bettie Moulden and Betty Curnew.
Peggy was a bright star in our lives and while we will miss her physical presence, we know she is watching over us, our very own guardian angel. Love you Mum!
Per Peggy's wishes, there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donate to your favourite charity and hug someone you love.

  • A gracious welcome, a warm hug and a beverage of choice is what greeted you at Peg and Bill's home. Whenever Linda came home for a visit Peg graciously welcomed me to share in this precious time together. Just knowing that she was there was a comforting thing for me. Rest easy, knowing that I will always walk close to your loving daughter. Sending sincere condolences to Craig & Bill and his family. Lois - Posted by: Lois Kinghorn (friend) on: Jun 08, 2019

  • We were very sorry to hear this sad news. I just met Peggy for the first time a few weeks ago although I had heard lots of wonderful things about her over the years. My Mom really enjoyed their friendship. And thank you Linda, for being so generous with my Mom...and sharing your wonderful cooking with her! Also, for including her on that wonderful birthday outing for Peggy, last month. Love, Sue and Dwight XO - Posted by: Sue Peters (Daughter of Peggy's friend Betty C.) on: Jun 08, 2019
