GILBERT FRANCOIS SABOURIN
January 3, 1943 - June 3, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gilbert, after a short illness, on June 3, 2019, at the age of 76 years.
Left to mourn are his wife Yvette; children, Micheline (Stephane), Julie (Aaron), Alain (Ayumi) and seven grandchildren.
Il a, toute sa vie, exprimé un vif acharnement pour l'épanouissement de la langue française et bravé tous les défis avec coeur et âme.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with testimonials at 2:00 p.m. at the Norwood Hotel, 112 Marion Street, on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

  • Si c’est bien Gilbert que j’ai connu en Inde, dans le centre de l’Inde, j’en garde un souvenir inoubliable. Il m’a donné le goût de venir au Canada. Ce que j’ai fait en 1971. Installé à Montréal depuis. Famille fondée et maintenant à la retraite. J’aurais bien aimé rencontrer Gilbert. Il était ami de Pierre Ragot que j’ai rencontré une fois à Montréal.
