HELEN FYDIRCHUK
(DZAMAN / JAMAN)
Left to fondly cherish her memory her precious and loving husband, Martin; her sisters, Theresa, Barbara (John); and brother Peter (Ann); special nephews and Godchildren Greg and B.J. Jaman; also special niece Haley Maas; many other relatives and friends.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, Pauline and John Jaman; and sisters, Mary and Rose.
On May 22, 2019, Helen and Martin celebrated 54 years of marriage. For 54 years as soul mates, they were blessed with happiness and the joy of life's riches.
Helen always had a kind word to all she met, young or old. Being a very caring person, she made certain that the elderly and shut-ins always had a home cooked meal as often as possible, especially on holidays - Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and their birthdays.
Being a very talented person, Helen was involved in many endeavours. She was a UCWLC member for 40 years. Her talent in decor and floral arrangements, gourmet cooking, baking and hall decorating were awesome! For many years she served on the board of director's for West Kildonan Horticultural Society. Her live floral arrangements, plants and baking always won top awards in the flower shows at Garden City Mall. Helen was also a member of the School Master's Wives Association.
When Helen became ill three years ago, Martin became her sole caregiver, 24-7. When the time came when he could no longer provide all of Helen's needs, she was hospitalized and then became a resident at Luther Home on January 11, 2019. Five months later, June 4, 2019, she said good-bye to this world and left to be with the Lord in Heaven.
Heartfelt thanks to family and especially our dear friends who helped her in time of need for the last three years. Special thanks to the staff at Luther Home for their compassion and care during Helen's short duration at Luther Home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave., Winnipeg, MB. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dmytro Dnistrian, CSSR with interment to follow in Glen Eden Cemetery.
Helen will be carried to her final resting place by: Orest Fedorchuk, Dennis Beyak, Ron Humeniuk, Marlis Schade, Garr Kukura and Garry Winch.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's memory to the Bishop Velychkovsky Martyr's Shrine or to a charity of your own choice.

I just want to say that I am so so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved wife Helen. I just wanted to reach out to you, as you were my language arts teacher (Gr.7) at Elmwood High School many, many years ago. You were a very caring teacher and my heart goes out to you and the loss of your beloved wife. Again I am so so very sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to you and your family for comfort and healing.
