DRAGUTIN (DRAGO) TKALEC
February 24, 1930 - June 19, 2019
Drago will be deeply missed by his wife Stefanija, his children, Janet (Trevor) and Kris (Donna), granddaughters, Casey and Kristen, and many other family and friends.
Drago was born in Croatia and moved to Canada when he was 28 years old. He began his career as a self-employed carpenter, eventually retiring at CP Rail. Drago was an active member of the Croatian community in Winnipeg, specifically with St. Nicholas Tavelich Croatian Parish which he helped construct over 50 years ago.
A celebration of Drago will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 25 2019, at 10:00 a.m. located at 4477 Main Street in West St. Paul. The service will be led by Father Gary Killen, followed by the interment and reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
