CALLAN RAY MOWAT

With profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our son and brother, Callan Ray Mowat, on June 24, 2019.
Cal was the son of Grace and Gary Mowat; brother to Connor Mowat and uncle to Cali, Carter and Maya Mowat. He was the stepdad of Nathan (Tiffany) and Keenan Kohinski. He will also be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and longtime friends.
Cal was last employed by the Selkirk Mental Health Centre, and was on long term disability resulting from a debilitating back injury. He was also a survivor of lymphoma cancer, thanks to the oncologists of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
A lifetime dog lover, Cal was rarely without one or two dogs and his current love was Chloe who he nicknamed Nugget.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, July 4 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. Friends are invited and encouraged to share their stories and memories of Cal. There will not be a formal memorial service.
Cremation will take place and be followed by a private family burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Callan's memory may be made to the Selkirk Community Foundation or Selkirk Food Bank.

Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
