CLARENCE BAUMAN
June 18, 1935 - July 2, 2019
He was predeceased by his wife and lifelong sweetheart Gwen; also his parents, Jacob and Emilie; and many siblings. Clarence leaves to mourn son Darcy; son Craig (Linda); son Grant; daughter Lisa (Rick); granddaughters, Shantal and Rebecca; grandsons, Travis and Devin; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Kayden and Madden; many friends especially Don and Nancy Lewis; and pets, Lulu and Tom.
Clarence was in the military before joining the fire department. He was a firefighter with the Winnipeg Fire Department and retired a Captain after 38 years of service. Clarence loved camping, travelling, animals, reading, western and military movies, volunteering and sports. He coached hockey, baseball and even ringette. Clarence was a Christian and a very generous person supporting many charities.
A celebration of Clarence's life will be held on July 11, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with Chapel Lawn Funeral Home located at 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment and reception to follow.
The family would like to thank the hospital home care team that helped Dad make it to his personal care home of choice and also to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at River East Personal Care Home for their care and compassion during Dad's stay and especially in his last days!
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to World Vision or World Wildlife Fund, two of his favourite charities.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Clarence's family at this difficult time. Chuck (Clarence) and I joined Army Cadets together way back in the mid-fifties where we met Don Lewis and we became the three musketeers sharing many memorable times together. From cadets we ventured on to the Winnipeg Grenadiers. After leaving Winnipeg due to employment I lost touch with Chuck and Gwen but reconnected later on when they visited Calgary. Later on he came out to visit us in Airdrie and we enjoyed some camping and even New Years Eve.
