SHIRLEY HILL
She was predeceased by her parents, Austin and Doris Bailey and her son Jim. She is survived by her husband Harvey, son Tom, daughter-in-law Kathy, grandsons, Dean (Kaitlyn) and Drew, and great-granddaughter Renee.
Shirley was born in Rivers, MB, May 3, 1936 and lived in Flin Flon until 1954 when she and four other school friends were accepted into the School of Nursing at Winnipeg General Hospital and graduated in 1957. She retired as a Head Nurse at the Winnipeg General Hospital in the Orthopedic Ward in 1963 to start a family. Her family was her life and she always put them ahead of everything else.
The family would like to extend our endless appreciation for the professional staff at Riverview Palliative Care ward for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.
As per Shirley's wishes she has been cremated and a private family celebration will be held in the near future.
