AUDREY FAYE FISHER
November 5, 1941 - July 16, 2019
Faye is survived by her daughter Simone, son Brent (Terri), grandchildren, Marissa and Delaney, her sisters, Sylvia (Willie), Gloria, Wendy (Rick) and Cindy (Jim), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Faye was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on November 5, 1941. She attended Balfour Tech High School in Regina and later met her husband of 56 years, Bev. They eventually moved to Winnipeg and Faye went on to attend the University of Winnipeg where she received a bachelor's degree, studying Greek Mythology and European history and literature. She was an active member of the Engineers' Wives Association, serving as the President of the organization for a term, and supported the Big Sisters program for many years.
She was a loving and caring mother to her two children, Brent and Simone, and a true sports enthusiast. She supported her kids in all their endeavors and remained a huge hockey fan throughout her life. She loved her dogs, Cocoa and Brody and was also a tireless worker in her river side yard which was her pride and joy. She was a genuine caring person who thought of others, spending many hours creating scrapbooks and crocheting animals for her grandnieces, nephews and many others. She was also a regular contributor to the Siloam Mission, spending many hours making scarfs, touques and mittens for donation.
A private memorial of Faye's life will be held at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, Manitoba, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Siloam Mission.
