EVELINE MARIE AMANDA CHAMPAGNE
(nee BLANCHETTE)
August 6, 1924 - July 22, 2019

Peacefully, Eveline passed away at Actionmarguerite Taché at the age of 94 years.
She was predeceased by husband Gérard; sisters, Dora and Amande and brothers, Léo and Gérald.
Eveline leaves behind her daughters, Suzanne and Lucille (Richard); granddaughters, Stephanie and Leandra; great-grandchildren, Hayley, Kieran, Lia and Sophia; and great-great-granddaughter Paityn.
Eveline was born in Ste. Anne, MB, the eldest of 10 children. She moved to Winnipeg as a young adult and found work at St. Boniface Hospital and later at The Bay, where she was employed for many years. She and Gérard were married in October, 1944 and they adopted two daughters. They enjoyed dancing, socializing and entertaining friends and family in their home.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at St. Boniface Cathedral, with viewing at 9:15 a.m. and eulogy at 9:45 a.m.
A special thank you to the staff at Actiomarguerite for their compassionate care, especially to nurses, Glady and Marie.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Eveline's memory can be made to Actionmarguerite Foundation.

  • I have such loving and funny memories of Matante Eveline and Oncle Gerard! I spent a lot of time with them and Suzanne and Lucille. My childhood is filled with stories about our times together. He always asked about my Wonderbra and matante would yell at him to leave me alone. I will forever hear matante yelling "Gerard"!!!! in my mind. She was tough, funny, sharp tongued and a truly beautiful person who would do anything for anyone, anytime!!!!!!!!! Especially food!!!!!!!!!!!
