I don't think I found out she died until well after the funeral. I spent many of my teenage weekends with her and Jerry in the 80's. Every time I was in Winnipeg I made sure to stop by and say hello, and when I lived there I tried to visit once a month or so. She was a great cook! And when she didn't feel like cooking there was always toonie Tuesdays at KFC. haha I was always appreciative of her being with Jerry and vice versa. It's hard to think of how their years would have been had they not been together until he died in 07. I know she missed him terribly though, and suffered many years from a broken heart after his passing. From the moment I met her she treated me like family, and we shared many laughs over the years. I lost track of her a couple of years before she died. Up until then we used to send each other Christmas cards still. God bless her. She is and will be missed. - Posted by: Brian K. After growing up not knowing my biological family due to 60s Scoop, Auntie was my first biological family member I met!!! She reconnected me with family and hooked me up with family on the Rez. She convinced me to go and visit them. I did and loved HOME. Auntie and I connected a few times and she was so compassionate. Thanks for your love Auntie. You will be missed. - Posted by: Skie Hedrick (Tataquason) (Great-Auntie) on: Jul 30, 2019

Thank you Olive for the great memories. I’ll always cherish the times I had with you and Jerry ❤️ You and Gerry always watched out for me and my brother, fed us when we were hungry, gave us a roof when we needed it! I love you and will always be there for Crystal 💯 - Posted by: Steven Coutu (Aunt ) on: Jul 29, 2019
