GIOVANNI (JOHN) CAPUTI
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Iginia; children, Tony, John (Lori); grandchildren, Justin, Alyssa; sister Angelina; brother Alberto (Silvana); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Julia; his sisters, Ederice, Evia and Maria.
Born in Villalago, Italy, John immigrated to Canada in 1959. John worked in the window/door manufacturing industry, where he held the position of foreman for the following companies: Pilkington Glass, Beaton Industries and AFG Glass. He was a dedicated hard-worker and believed in doing quality work in every job that he completed.
John was a kind, gentle and patient man, a loving, supportive, caring husband and father, someone who put his family first. He was a devoted grandfather who had a close relationship with his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, grocery shopping for quality ingredients, and cooking his delicious traditional meals. John has left us with countless memories of his strong character, and his love, for us to cherish. He was always there to help his family, with all of his heart. He will be deeply missed.
Viewing and condolences were held at 10:00 a.m.; followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. with Fr. Sam Argenziano. Entombment was at Green Acres, Holy Angel Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital palliative care ward for the compassionate care John received.

I’ve known and worked with John for almost 15 years and he has always spoken fondly and proudly of his father. It was obvious that there is a lot of love in the Caputi family and that Mr. Caputi will be missed. I wish the best for the family and hope that they will cherish their memories of Mr. Caputi for years and years.
