BERTHA KOWAL
February 17, 1926 – July 29, 2019
Bertha was born on February 17, 1926 in Stuartburn, Manitoba. She is survived by her sons, Kevin and Doug; and brother, Jim Sawicki and dear friends, Bob Heipel, Polly Moore and Dorothy Murphy.
Bertha was predeceased by her husband Michael and her son Neil.
Bertha lived in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan until she was 18 and then moved to Winnipeg. In Winnipeg, she met and eventually married Michael Kowal. They had three children,
Kevin, Neil and Doug. Michael was in the
Canadian Air Force and as a result the family was stationed over the years to many
locations in Canada as well as Nottingham, England.
A private service will be held.
