AGNES OTELIA MACPHERSON
(MACK)
Agnes is predeceased by two husbands, William Ohlinger, and "Mac" MacPherson, and by infant son Laverne.
Agnes is mourned by her daughter Darlene Crolly (Jack), sons, Glen Ohlinger (Sylvia) and Tom Ohlinger. She will also be missed by her sister Marg Finnimore and her grandchildren, Colin (Jennifer) and Allison (Ken) and four great-grandchildren, as well as the extended Mack family.
Agnes was born on a farm just outside MacNutt, Saskatchewan in 1920, to Philip and Lizzie Mack. Agnes was the ninth child of 14 siblings. She grew up in a close knit and boisterous family, and eventually left home to marry her beau William Ohlinger from a neighbouring farm.
Agnes and William stayed on the farm till the early 1950s, then moved to Minnedosa, Manitoba, where she worked in the restaurant business, eventually owning a drive in restaurant. She loved cooking, and was well known for her pies and tarts, but cabbage rolls, perogies and farmers sausage were her real comfort food.
A feisty lady to the end, she will be sorely missed.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Heritage Lodge Care Home for the wonderful care and patience they provided Agnes during her time there.
A private family celebration of her life will occur in September.
