IDA MARY DORIS TOWNSEND
(nee MARCOTTE) (POLLOCK)

Heaven received another beautiful angel in the early evening of July 30, 2019. Ida, aged 90 years, quietly and peacefully passed away at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Doris Marcotte, sister Beatrice in infancy, brother Donald, in-laws, Doris, Charles (Red), Frank, Peggy and Jim.
She will be forever missed by her loving husband, Dave; children, Bill (Heather), Marilyn (Alan) McMillan, Gary (Renee) and John; grandchildren, Jade, Katelin, Jonathan, Lily Ida and Patrick; brothers, Leo and Harvey (Muriel) Marcotte; sisters-in-law, Jackie, Jenny and Gwen (Agnar), and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends sincere appreciation to Dr. Armin Sabri and the exceptional staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital, and Ida's homecare providers for their kindness, compassion and professionalism. We would also like to thank Pat Geisler for her daily hospital visits and support and to John and Karen Gray for their guidance and support at this difficult time.
Church service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ashern, MB, led by Father Roy Vazhaplinkudiyil.
Please join us for a celebration of Ida's life at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the Ashern Centennial Hall.
