BARBARA LONGE
Barbara Longe, previously known as Barbara Gabriel, Barbara Redhead, Barbara Moffett, Barbara Singh, born November 29, 1929 in San Fernando, Trinidad, went home to her Lord on August 12, 2019.
She was the loving wife of Douglas Longe; daughter of Margaret-Anna Gabriel (deceased) and Carleon Redhead (deceased); sister of Joyce, Hyacinth, Ethelbert and James (all deceased).
Mother of Winston, Louis, David, Gemma, Trevor and Christi Anna. Mother-in-law of Ernesta, Ermine, Amla, George, Eileen and Rodney.
Grandmother of Denise, Gail, Nicole, Camille, Andre, Daryl, Tricia, Renee, Donna, Andrea, Debbie, Deryck, Bryan, Patrice, Mikiel, Alicia, Nadianne, Marc-Evin, Jason, Sean, Sandra, Stuart (deceased), Arif, Lindsay, Darcy, Geoffrey, Shannon, Rodney Jr. and Angel.
She was also a great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt.
Barbara was a treasure who loved and gave of herself wholeheartedly, she was deeply loved by her family, friends and those with whom she interacted. We all felt her love and joy for life. She will be missed but we all know she is in her heavenly home in the presence of the Lord, surrounded by those loved ones who have gone before her.
We express our gratitude to all the staff members at the Calvary Place Personal Care Home for the love and care they gave her during her stay over the years.
For those who poured out love and comforting words to the family in this difficult time, we also say Thank You!
