ROBERT BROSI
December 8, 1962 - August 17, 2019

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Brosi, devoted husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. He was taken from us on August 17, 2019, at the age of 56, at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB after a short and most courageous battle with cancer; his wife at his side.
Robert leaves to mourn his passing: his ever loving wife Marjorie (nee Collins); sons, Robert J. (Crystal Phyllips) and Sean Collins; his only grandchild Jenna; his parents, Richard and Katharine; also his brothers, Randy and Ricky; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
For 35 years his passion and life centered around his work as owner/designer/master builder of Odessy Homes Ltd. where he brought to life over 500 dream homes. He was an active member of the housing industry as a member of many boards and committees as well.
Weekends were spent at the cottage at Grausdin Point, designing decks, bathrooms and lifelong memories, countless hours on the lake pontooning, sledding, ice fishing and Saturday night poker games. Winter vacations were spent in Sun Destinations with the Love of his life and forever friends.
The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate doctors, nurses and other staff of Health Sciences Centre 4D who made his final days tolerable and as comfortable as possible.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 23 at Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Interment and lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's honour to CancerCare Manitoba or the charity of one's choice.

  • My sincere condolences to you and your family on this sudden and tragic loss. Rob was a lovely man. I had the pleasure of working with Rob in many capacities for over a decade. He was dedicated, hard working and commited to both his business, his customers and the industry he enjoyed so much. My admiration for his commitment and insight into the industry is surpassed only by my admiration for the outstanding person I knew him to be. He will be missed. - Posted by: Spencer Curtis (Peer) on: Aug 22, 2019

  • We offer our condolences to Marj and the extended families. We always found Rob as kind and a genuinely nice guy. He will be missed as I often met Rob and Marj at the lake on our morning walks with our dogs. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. - Posted by: Frank and Darlene (Cottage friends) on: Aug 22, 2019

  • Rob dedicated his time and expertise to the New Home Warranty Program of Manitoba Inc. over the past 16 years as a volunteer Board Member and Technical Committee Member. His contribution is unmeasurable. Rob was a keen listener, a leader, a team player, and could always think outside the box. Rob and I had many conversations about work (the housing industry), politics, the 'state of the world', and life in general. He was more than a colleague - he was a good friend. I could count on him for a "matter of fact" conversation, that would bring insight, clarity, and resolve to anything troubling me. He was a pillar of strength - who would never mince words and tell you exactly how he felt. Rob will be greatly missed. My condolences go out to his family. - Posted by: Lori Crandell (Colleague) on: Aug 21, 2019

  • Our hearts break for you Marj and family. Such a wonderful man gone so young. The biggest hugs going your way. - Posted by: Eldon and Marie (Friend) on: Aug 21, 2019
