MOHAMAD (HAJJ) TASSE
April 27, 1942 - August 25, 2019
Mohamad was born in Kherbit Rouha, Lebanon and immigrated to Canada in 1968.
Hajj Mohamad Tasse passed away peacefully August 25. He was a long term resident of Winnipeg and a respected elder of the Muslim community in Winnipeg.
He is survived by his wife Hosn, daughter Amina, son Abraham, his brother Abdo Eltassi and sisters, Amene and Aiche, nieces, nephews and their children. He was predeceased by his daughter Fatima and son Omar Tasse.
The family would like extend their appreciation to Dr. Lipschitz, Dr. Wong, the CancerCare Manitoba team and Pam Johnson. We would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital 5E Medicine, and the home care team that cared for Mohamad.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CancerCare Manitoba.
Funeral services were offered at Grand Mosque, August 27, 2019.

I will always remember the special relationship that we had, Tio. How much you loved your family, fruit trees, tractor, and calligraphy pens. Your sense of humour was contagious. I remember watching the World Cup final Spain vs Netherlands at your house. It was so much fun. I wish my sons could have known you better. The distance was far but you were always in our thoughts and hearts. My deepest condolences to Marte-Ami, Amina, Abraham, Amo Abdo, Amti Amine, Amti Aiche, and all the family.
