JARVIS CHUBEY
December 17, 1953 - August 26, 2019

Jarvis Chubey passed away suddenly, at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB, on Monday, August 26, 2019, at the age of 65.
He is survived by his siblings, Lawrence (Marilyn), Elsie Kathler (Doug), Audrey Lakusta, Dennis (Karen); his eight nieces and nephews; and 12, almost 13, great-nieces and nephews will miss their fun-loving Uncle J's stories and the many adventures they had with him at Uncle J's farm.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Susie; brothers-in-law, Larry Hopkins and Father Henry Lakusta, along with his favourite Uncles, Morris, Sam, and Bert.
He was a man who loved the simple things - family and farming. His sense of humour was incredible. Everyone who met him loved him, and he meant so much to our entire family.
Jarvis was born in Rosa, MB, and farmed there all his life on the family farm.
He was especially proud of his herd of outstanding Charolais cattle. His faith was very important to him.
He was a lifetime member of the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church and served as Church Elder and its President for over 20 years, where he always had a tale to tell. If anyone needed a helping hand Jarvis was always there to help.
The prayer service will be held on Monday, September 2, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in Rosa, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jarvis' memory may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery Fund.
