She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Nick Smorang; her parents, Michael and Anna Kush; son Carl Smorang; and brothers, Nick Kush and Sam Kush.
Rose was named after her maternal grandmother Rose Shuhyta (Harry).
Rose was a loving and caring person who was cheerful, friendly and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was effortlessly easygoing and keenly interested in the world around her. This sense of curiosity and lifelong learning lent itself to her wisdom, her good health, her fortitude, and her sharp memory and sense of humour.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Gilbart's Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB.
Condolences may be left on her tribute wall
