1923 - 2019
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Bev and Roberta; grandchildren, Melissa (Doug), Stuart (Kris), Jennie-Lee; seven great-grandchildren in whom she delighted, as well as special nieces and nephews and cherished friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, daughter Joy, son-in-law Garth, and brothers, Fred and Don.
A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
Thanks to those at West Park Manor who cared for her with kindness and compassion over the last three years (especially Brenda).
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be given to the Arthritis Society of Manitoba, Hope and Healing International (formerly Christian Blind Mission - 1-800-567-2264), or a charity of your choice.

Vera was one of the most pleasant and friendly office receptionists I had ever met back in the mid 70's. Our paths crossed again when her grandson and my son became friends at school and the rest just fell into place. Meeting her grandsons mother, Bev, followed and we have all been connected ever since. Following my mother's footprint she too became a resident at West Park Manor. Vera will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who were ever blessed to be in her circle of friends. Her first born grandchild, Melissa, was a faithful helper along with Bev in keeping Grandma company for many years.
