SANDRA STAPLES
Born in Yorkshire, England on May 11, 1956, Sandra moved to Winnipeg, Canada with her parents and sister at an early age. She was well known among her friends for her passion for life and her desire to make the most of it. For many years she worked with and helped troubled youth through Macdonald Youth Services, it is impossible to gauge how many young people she helped.
At her side when she passed away was her partner of 18 years, Renee Antoski, whom she "Loved to the moon and back!" She was predeceased by her niece Catherine Anne and father Maurice. Left to cherish her memory are her wife Renee and her three boys, along with their families, Jonny (Karleigh), Matt (Raphaela), and Joel, all of whom affectionately referred to Sandra as Momma 2; her mother Freda; older sister Sheelagh; nephew Clifford (Alex), along with their family and the family members still living in England.
A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2019, at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 Desmeurons Street.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of the Riverview Health Centre for their care during Sandra's last days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.

Delma and I lost contact with Sandy. We always have hoped to reconnect. Sadly, that hope has been crushed. Happy to read she had Renee by her side. Hurts that we cannot make new memories but makes us smile about the old ones we have. - Posted by: Karen Zapisocki (Friend) on: Jan 21, 2024

My heartfelt condolences to Sandra’s loved ones. Oh Sandra you were one of the good ones. A genuine soul. Who was good at every flippin’ sport she played in school. Heaven got itself a special gem. - Posted by: Nadine Mitchell (Isford) (Childhood friend) on: Nov 24, 2023
