JOACHIM (JOE) LINNEMANN
Eldest son of Harald and Gertrud Maria (both deceased). Deeply missed by sister Vera (Gord) Willson and brothers, Bernie (Patty) and Mike (Marion) Linnemann, nephew Matthew (Brandi), and nieces, Madeleine, Kathleen, Emily (Paul), Natalie, Cathy and Jenny.
As a young child, Joe moved with his parents to England, then to Winnipeg in 1953. He was proud to have been a Sea Cadet in the Honour Guard as a young teen. Joe briefly studied Interior Design at U of M. He had a long career in the audio business in Winnipeg, but maintained a lifelong interest in art, architecture and design. Joe designed and built, with his brothers, the family cottage at St. Laurent and most recently was inspired to do it all again at War Eagle Lake.
Incredibly creative and meticulous in his work, Joe had a lively interest in current affairs, and a wonderful sense of humour. He was a devoted caretaker to his mother, a dearly loved brother and enjoyed the company of his nephew and nieces.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be welcome.
Please join us to celebrate Joe's memory on Thursday, October 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park", 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
