KARL SPONAGEL
August 26, 1935 - September 15, 2019

After a courageous battle with Parkinson's and cancer, surrounded by his family, Karl Sponagel passed away on September 15, 2019 at Selkirk General Hospital.
Karl is survived by his wife Christa of 53 years; daughters, Annette and Gabi (Bernd), and granddaughter Nicole. Lovingly missed by his siblings, Helmut, Heiner, Hans, and Trudel. As well as his sister-in-law Lydia, nephew Karl-Wilhelm (Sigrid), and niece Andrea. Along with family and friends all over the world, he touched countless others with his kindness.
The family would like to thank the exceptional home care team and the amazing nursing staff at Selkirk General Hospital.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Petersfield, Manitoba. A celebration of his life will be held after the service at the Clandeboye Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Parkinson Canada or CancerCare Manitoba.
