Condolences will be offered starting at 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection honouring her life will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St.

We met Sila and Rosario about 20 years ago through my parents. We soon became the best of friends and spent many wonderful times at their cottage in Sandy Hook, fishing and playing cards. They treated us like family. We share comfort in knowing Sila is no longer suffering. She truly was a very special person and always had kind words to share with everyone she knew. It was always a pleasure visiting with her, listening to her stories and kind words of advice. If you were lucky all while enjoying a big bowl of her famous homemade soup, bread and/or baking. We were so saddened to lose such a dear soul from our lives...mom knows her joyful release from her physical trials...I wished only for one last hug but know she is in heaven with Rosario. She was a special bright love and light of welcome to us both- despite not being Italian!
