Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • I found out years later that Payton had passed, and I wanted to make a tribute to her. I remember sitting beside her in grade 6 and how she always had a big smile on her face. I'm sitting here almost 10 years later but I can still remember her contagious laugh. -Nilah - Posted by: Nilah Kohistani (Classmate) on: Dec 09, 2024

  • I remember Payton's love of books when she came to visit in the library at Chancellor School. She had the most beautiful smile and cheerful disposition and it was always a pleasure to chat with her. Offering my heartfelt sympathy to all the Lang family on Payton's passing. - Posted by: Jane Romaniuk (former Chancellor Library Technician) on: Sep 28, 2019

  • I was fortunate enough to meet Payton while she was a Grade 7 student at Acadia and I was there teaching. I appreciated her kindhearted humour, and how she asked me every day what I had eaten for supper the night before. Unbeknownst to her I was having a pretty rough go of it, and her daily conversations brought light to my day. She will not be forgotten. I am grateful to have known her, and send my condolences to her family. - Posted by: Morgan Arksey (Teacher) on: Sep 28, 2019
