LYNNE SAUVE
May 10, 1940 - September 20, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Lynne Phyllis Sauvé announces her passing peacefully in her home on Friday, September 20, 2019, at the age of 79.
Lynne will be deeply missed by her loving daughter Sherry; her sister Sharon Burden; nephews, David and Brian; niece Heather, dear friends and neighbours.
Lynne was predeceased by her parents, Phyllis and John Neufeld.
Lynne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she spent her family childhood, built an accomplished career and enjoyed a very happy life. She worked for Manitoba Motor Vehicles for 33 years until her retirement in 1995. Lynne was an intelligent, dedicated, hard working career woman. As a young mother, she rose through the ranks, and was promoted to a key supervisory position, managing the driver licensing renewal department until retirement. Lynne was an active member of the Army Navy and Airforce Unit No. 1 in support of an organization that was important to her father.
Lynne was proud of and enjoyed her home, nestled on a tree lined street in Wolseley where in her late retirement she spent her summer days on her porch with her cat "Sam", listening to her favourite radio DJ on 99 Bob FM while doing her daily crosswords.
Lynne was a passionate nature and animal lover who earlier in life was an avid camper and explored Manitoba Provincial Parks with friends and family. Lynne enjoyed the great outdoors, bonfires, and especially the call of the loons.
Wherever Lynne went she made an impression and had a knack for putting people at ease. Lynne enjoyed being social with friends and family and had a following of people in her community that knew her as genuine, personable and kind. Sherry could never go anywhere in the community without someone asking, "How's mom?"
Most of all and throughout her life Lynne lived for and was fiercely devoted to her daughter Sherry. They shared a special bond. Lynne was her happiest spending time together over dinners, having long talks, hugging, laughter, music, card games, gardening, outings, rooting for the Bombers, and just living and enjoying life in the moment.

Lynne lived passionately, loved completely,
And shone from the inside out.

Cremation and a private family service will take place at Lynne's final resting place in Lasting Tribute Chapel at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Manitoba CancerCare Foundation, the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.

  • My sincere condolences to Sherry on the passing of your Mom. I met her many years ago hanging out at your place, watching the Bombers, enjoying a dinner, a few drinks. Always made me feel welcome and truly, truly enjoyed her company! My fondest memory was just a couple years ago when you and I built that small step to make it easier for her to get in and out of your house, she was so happy and grateful 💕 Rest Easy Lynne 🙏 promise to always be there for Sherry 💕 - Posted by: Tannis Talarico (Friend ) on: Sep 28, 2019

  • My sincere sympathy to Sherry and Sharon. I have so many happy memories of my childhood spent with Lynn and Sharon. Every Christmas Eve we spent together and my Uncle John and Auntie Phil were so special to our family. I was the attendant at Lynn's wedding and we had so much to talk about always. Her giggle was contagious, she was a special person. Sweet dreams Lynn. - Posted by: Gail Rogers (Cousin) on: Sep 28, 2019
