HANS SCHOLZ
Hans passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, with his family at his side.
Hans was predeceased by his loving wife Sylvia. He leaves to mourn his children, Kim (Harry), Judy (Paul), Cookie and Michael (Carol); his grandchildren, Chad (Christine), Cory, Kirby, Lyndsie (Dave), Sandi, Mandi (David), Chris (Ashley), Daniel, and his great-grandchildren, Adison, Quinton, Wyatt, Liam, Amelia, Nerisa, Max and Kenzie.
Hans immigrated to Canada in his early 20s from Germany. He met Sylvia shortly after and they married in 1963. They settled in the North End of Winnipeg where they raised their family.
Hans was a hard-working man, who worked in the construction industry most of his life. He took pleasure in gardening and helping anyone who needed help. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Hans was a socialable person who loved to walk his dog and talk to anyone in his neighbourhood.
We would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge where Hans spent the last two years of his life. Their care and support was greatly appreciated.
There will be a private family service, followed by a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 9 at 920 Nairn Ave.
The celebration will begin at 4:00 p.m. for those wishing to pay their respects.
