GLORIA MOLLARD
November 6, 1936 - September 19, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Gloria, at the age of 82 years, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Gloria was predeceased by her beloved husband, Don of 49 years; and her brother Gordon.
She is survived by her two sons, Dave and Tom; three grandchildren, Brittany (Jose), Braydon, and Jon; and one great-grandchild Gabriella.
Gloria spent her early years as a teacher; working in Gillam, Jenpeg, Winnipeg, and areas around Stonewall. She enjoyed curling, golfing, travelling and being with friends, but most of all she loved spending time with the family.
She was a woman full of stories that made you laugh. Gloria was so special with a heart of gold. Always so welcoming with a warm smile and open arms. She was a very classy lady (hair and nails done, teahouse lunches). Gloria was also a woman of hard work and determination, always offering to help when needed.
Orchids and Oriole birds were her favourite!
Special thanks to Stonewall Hospital for taking such gentle care and keeping her so comfortable during her stay. Thank you to Dr. Graham and CancerCare Manitoba for all your help.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honour of Gloria on Sunday, October 6 at the Stonewall Quarry Park Heritage Centre beginning at 1:00 p.m. Feel free to bring and share any stories or experiences shared with Gloria.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

We love you and miss you Gramma-G!
Always in our hearts.

  • They were good friends with me when we all worked in Jenpeg in the 70's. Don and Gloria were very helping and kind people. - Posted by: gerry john timlick (friend) on: Oct 01, 2019

  • Dear Dave, Tom and families. Words cannot express how sorry we are to hear of your Mum’s passing. We met all of you in Jenpeg in 1975. We spent many hours together, walking, having coffee, skiing, curling, playing cards, learning new crafts, making special cakes for your classes in school. Your Mum was so much fun, always loved a good laugh and was always there as a friend - anywhere, anytime. So many memories, so many good times in Northern Manitoba. Cherish your special memories now and forever. Hugs to everyone. - Posted by: Glenn, Marilyn Lamb and Jodi and Shannon and families (Friend) on: Sep 30, 2019
