ROSE MARY CHUCKRY

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Rose Mary Chuckry on September 26, 2019 at the age of 71. We wish to thank the staff at Gimli Community Health Centre for their compassion and caring for Rose during her illness.
Rose will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Nettie Lubinski, brothers, Andy (Betty), Don, Jack (Dianne), and many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband Steve, father Bill, brother Frank, and sister-in-law Dianne of Edmonton.
Rose was born and raised in the Rembrandt district of the Interlake where she met her husband Steve and operated a small farm together for over 40 years. Later in life, after Steve's passing, Rose sold her farm and moved to Winnipeg Beach.
Rose expressed many fond memories in her years with Steve at their farm in Rembrandt. She had great enjoyment caring for farm animals, her pet dogs and cats, gardening, and being outdoors. One of her favourite activities was going out to pick wild berries and mushrooms every season with Steve by her side.
Please join us at a Celebration of Life service to be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 2, 2019 at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Rembrandt, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of your choice.
