VINCENZO (ENZO) MORGANTE
February 1, 1932 - October 2, 2019
Vincenzo leaves to mourn his wife Maria Di Santo; stepson Jack Di Santo (Sheila); grandchildren, Nicholas and Daniella. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Paolina; nieces and nephews Jack, Joanne, Tino and Anna; and numerous nieces and nephews in Italy.
Vincenzo was predeceased by his parents, Giacomino and Giovanna; sisters, Stefania, Antonia and Maria; brothers, Giuseppe and Filippo.
Vincenzo was born in Termini Imerese, Sicily in Italy. While in Italy he studied the art of shoemaking, taking pride in making custom handmade leather shoes. He came to Canada in 1973 to be reunited with his brother Giuseppe in Winnipeg, where he had various jobs including his final 17 working years at Boeing of Canada.
Enzo enjoyed and took much pride with his vegetable garden, fruit trees, making wine and repairing shoes and leather goods for his friends and family. He loved to travel, especially going home to Italy and winter trips to Cuba.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 at Navin Road, with viewing starting at 1:30 p.m., reception will follow.
A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favorite charity.
