OLGA KOHUT
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Annie Mandzie and brother Matt.
Mom worked her entire life at two jobs. Co-Op Utility, Universal Printers and keeping the homelife well fed and nourished. Mom's pyrogies were bar none - the best in the world. No one left the table, or their home, without 'take home packages' of homemade buns, bread, pancakes, cabbage rolls, gingersnap and hermit cookies, to name just a few. Weekends were spent travelling to Gardenton, Manitoba to her homestead, working on planting and maintaining their garden, to share with family and friends.
Olga is survived by her husband Michael; her three children, Clarence (Maria), Carol (Wells) Peever and Michael (Leila); her grandchildren, Paul (Isla), Linda (Jim) Watkins, Sean (Keiland) Peever, Steven Peever, Julia; and her three great-grandchildren, Lana, Reid and Jack.
The family wishes to THANK Kay Kohut (sister-in-law) and Bill and Elsie Kohut (Dad's cousin) for their continuous visits to Holy Family; which Mom cherished. Also THANKS to staff of Holy Family 4A and 4C for making Mom as comfortable as possible and their caring ways.
Please join us celebrating her life at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul.

I just found out her husband Mike passed away and I am so sorry to find out Olga had passed away in 2019. We worked together at Air Canada and became good friends with her and her husband. Unfortunately we lost touch with one another but I always thought of her throughout the years. To her family I am so sorry for your loss and that of your father now. - Posted by: Virginia Jackson (Friend) on: Mar 12, 2023

I wish to extend sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Olga Kohut at this challenging time. Although I hadn't seen her in sometime, I had the opportunity to get to know this wonderful lady when I attended RRC with Mike in the early nineties. Mrs. Kohut always welcomed me into their home and treated me like family. To say that I was well nourished and cared for during my visits would be a huge understatement. I can attest personally to the amazing homemade foods that came out of her kitchen, the pyrogies were second to none! While I know that words alone can never convey the true meaning of a life well lived, I know for certain that Olga leaves her friends and family with a wealth of love, memories, recipes, and those little things that made her so special. Please celebrate these things and allow them to carry you through this tough time and her memory will remain with you always. R - Posted by: Richard Rivard (Friend) on: Oct 11, 2019
