MARY LOUISE HARVEY
June 8, 1925 - October 5, 2019

It is great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Mary Harvey.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lyall Edward Harvey (1997), sisters, Sadie and Ruth, brothers, Bill, Joe, Alvin and Clifford.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary (Bob), Carol and John; her grandchildren, Rick (Tammy), Sherene and Mack (Paige); her great-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Ella, Leo, Milo and Ivy; her great-great-grandchild, Saydee; her only surviving sibling, Micki McDougall, plus several nieces and nephews.
Mom was born on June 8, 1925, in Souris, Manitoba, to Mary and John Meadows, and grew up in Maryfield, Saskatchewan. After graduating from high school, she moved to Winnipeg where she worked at Standard Aero and later, the Winnipeg School Division.
In 1947 she met Dad and they were married in 1948. Together they raised their family and in 1949 they found beautiful Trout Lake, Ontario and built their summer family cottage. They were the first family on the lake and over the years they built properties which flourished into a thriving Trout Lake community. Mom spent 67 summers there until her health prevented her from going.
Mom was warm, fun loving and she loved being a home maker. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake. She made the best pies in the world and Blueberry Buckle Cake was one of her specialties.
At Mom's request, cremation has taken place and a private family service was held on Friday, October 11.
