Walter was known for his Ham Operator activities. From chatting with other Operators, an avid collector of radios, to also repairing and restoring radios was his true passion.
He was also a long standing member of the Rockwood Legion where he spent many nights dancing and socializing with friends.
Walter was predeceased by his wife Steffie Bezpalko, parents Anna and Jon Bezpalko, brothers Joe and Julian, and his grandson Timothy Brabant.
Left to mourn his passing is daughter Wendy Brabant, son Edward (Paula) Bezpalko, brother Ted (Coralee) Bezpalko, sisters Angie Laniuk, Helen Grad, grandchildren Tyler, Olivia, Emily and Claire and friend Margaret Yackel and his nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service was held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 2:00 p,m, with interment and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3P 2T5.

Iām soo sorry for your loss. My condolences to the family. I worked with Walter for many years at CN Signals and Communications. He talked a lot of his family and how family meant everything to him. He often spoke of his younger life and how his life travels from being a little boy to getting to South America and settling in Canada . I will miss his conversations we had and friendship .
