ALMA ELISABET ERIKA MCPHERSON
She was born September 17, 1927 in Mulvihill, MB to Karl and Jenny Henriksson. They moved to Beresford Lake, MB in 1941 and later to Bissett in 1942.
She married William (Bill) McPherson on February 5, 1944. They raised six children and lived her life in the same house.
Mom was known for her love of birds and animals. She made sure her birds were fed and the chipmunks got their peanuts before she went for coffee! If there ever was a bear in the yard she sure wasn't afraid to chase them off. Sometimes throwing a rake or something at them.
Mom loved her flowers and every summer her yard was an array of colour. Her hands were always busy; whether it be knitting or crocheting. There wasn't a pattern she couldn't figure out.
Her door was always open for tea and coffee to go with cookies from the World's Bottomless Cookie Jar!
She was a volunteer in the community and served on several committees.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill (1997); son Terry (1980); daughter Elizabeth (in infancy); parents, Karl and Jenny (nee Petterson) Henriksson; sisters, Linnea Granberg, Mae Taylor, Ingrid Johnson and Elsie Henriksson; brothers, Ivar, John, Eric and Sven; good friends Lorraine MacDonald and Gordon Bjork.
She is survived by her children, Richard, John (Cheryl), Donna Kotyluk (Ernest), Douglas (Dee) and Caroline Baldwin (Bob); sister Elvy Marsh (Ron); 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bissett Community Hall.
Condolences may be left

To Alma's family: We would like to extend our sympathy on the passing of your dear mom, grandmother, great grandmother. We all remember her beautiful flowers. Our mom stopped in there whenever they went fishing in the area and said coffee was always on. Bless you all as you move through the next part of your lives.
