In the 1980s, I went to Lord Wolseley Elementary School, and I went to Auntie Jean's house every day before and after school (and at lunch, when she would always have a wonderful meal prepared). It never felt like a daycare. It just felt like I was with my Auntie Jean. She was sometimes a little strict, but always so loving and caring. I often wondered about her when I would drive or walk past that big house. She will be so fondly remembered and appreciated by all the people who's lives she touched. - Posted by: Andrew Morris (Friend) on: Nov 07, 2019

I was very young and I lived across the lane! My brother and I stayed with her when my parents worked! I was very young and I can't remember a lot but there is one thing I have never forgotten and it had to do with an apple and her teaching me to plant the seeds and watch it grow! I will never forget her for that!! I have thought of her often and it is a cherished memory! She is loved by many, many children and I know I will never forget her! - Posted by: Jackie Hodgson (The best babysitter ever!!) on: Oct 31, 2019

Jeanette was one of my first friends when I came to Springs Church. She was always full of love and brought wisdom to every conversation. No matter the length of time between visits, conversation continued as if we had seen each other the day before. I look forward to seeing her in heaven and picking up where we left off. Love you Jeanette. Marion - Posted by: Marion Klassen (Friend and sister in the Lord) on: Oct 29, 2019

I had the privilege of getting to know auntie Jean or mama as so many called her, when my husband and I pastored a church in the city of Winnipeg. My fondest memories of mama were of her in the church kitchen, serving the youth supper. She was always happy. Her laugh was infectious. She was relevant to young and old alike. Mama, I will miss our talks on the phone. No matter how down you were, you always managed to get out a "Praise the Lord" . You encouraged and supported so many people. Our lives will never be the same. I thank God for the time He allowed such an angel to grace us with her presence. Now that Auntie Jean is finally in God's presence, she will be saying "Praise the Lord" directly to the King of Kings himself. No more hospitals, pills or pain. Just pure and utter joy.
