ETHAN BENNETT ZUK BOYER
February 1, 2000 - October 25, 2019
Ethan was born in Winnipeg on Tuesday, February 1, 2000. He grew up in the Balmoral area where he attended Balmoral School from K-8. During his time at Balmoral School he made many lifelong friends including best friends, Arron Loewen and Erin Waterer. Ethan then attended Stonewall Collegiate where he graduated in 2018. In his last year at school he went on a school trip to Greece which he loved.
Ethan's life revolved around hockey from age five and onward. He played on various hockey teams where he made many, many friends. Besides Stonewall club teams, Ethan played on Interlake Lighting Bantam and was a proud player for three years on SCI Rams. After graduation, his passion for hockey continued, with him lastly playing on three different hockey teams. Ethan would pack his gear and keep it in his car in hopes he was called in to spare on another team.
This summer, Ethan was given the opportunity to work at City of Winnipeg Pools and Maintenance Department which he enjoyed and made many new work friends. He was looking forward to returning in 2020. This new job allowed him to purchase his first motorcycle (CBR600) so he could join his buddies riding. Ethan was currently enrolled in computer science at the U of M. He had a special skill set for making gaming computers and excelled in online gaming where he made many virtual friends who will also miss him dearly.
Ethan was a kind and gentle giant with a unique sense of humour and an endless love for animals. He enjoyed all sports, loved life and had a passion for snowmobiling and motorbikes.
Loved ones that have cleared the path to heaven for Ethan are his Grandpa Albert Boyer, Nana Barbara and Papa Jan Zuk.
Loved ones who will miss Ethan until they meet again are Grandma Muriel Boyer, Nana Jean Zuk; aunts and uncles, Richard and Sandra Zuk, Barb and Ron Nordal, Jack and Carol Boyer, Jeanette and Barry Sheasgreen; cousins, Alaina (John), Ashlee (Patrick), Leanne (Aaron), Scott, Garrett (Katarina) and Lana (Cory); also missing him are cats, Callie and Titan; puppy dogs, Hunter, Ecko, and Ethan's dog Thanos.
A special thank you to those who stopped to help and pray for Ethan at the scene. Our family would also like to thank the RM of Macdonald Fire Department, W.F.P.S., STARS, W.P.S., R.C.M.P. especially Cst. S. Fenton for her ongoing support.
A celebration of Ethan's life will be held on Friday, November 15 at 1:00 p.m. at New Life Church, Stonewall with reception to follow. There will be a private family interment later in the new year.
Those attending the service are invited to bring a "Tin for the Critter Bin" in support of local animal shelters. In celebration of Ethan's love of hockey, attendees are welcome to wear a hockey jersey.
In lieu of flowers, Ethan would appreciate donations be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society and / or:

Sue, there are no words to express how sorry I am for your loss. I remember how we would talk about our kids in the locker room and share stories about what they were up to. I just wanted you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Jacqueline - Posted by: Jacqueline Picard (Former co-worker) on: Nov 12, 2019

We were not only coworkers but we had our children around the same time so our kids knew each other as well. Susan, Dana and Reid there is nothing we can say to take your pain away but know that our thoughts are with you and your extended family at this terrible time. Life is not fair, that has been proven to me over and over but know that without a doubt there are still people that need you to care for them and that care about you. - Posted by: The Derksens (Friends ) on: Nov 12, 2019
