MERLE DERTELL
She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) in 2002, and granddaughter Sandra Haviar in 2018.
Among remaining relatives is her very special granddaughter Cindy Brown, as well as several nephews and nieces who have remained in close contact.
Merle was very grateful for the friendship and happiness that her wonderful friends have given her.
As per Merle's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will take place.

Merle and Bill were dear friends of my mother and father. They were both very lovely people. I visited Merle periodically when I would come to Winnipeg and enjoyed chatting with her or taking her for lunch. She always showed genuine interest in my family, and I enjoyed hearing about her walks and adventures on the bus. Her loss of eyesight and hearing would have stopped many in their tracks, but Merle had the courage to work around her age related disabilities. She was a both beautiful and courageous.
