PAULINE FRANCES CAMERON
June 3, 1931 - October 24, 2019
Born in Tebay, England to Scottish parents, Mom was extremely proud of her Scottish heritage and recounted tales of her travels to the Highlands with her father. As a family we were lucky to travel with Mom to Scotland and England.
Mom took her nursing training at Westminster Hospital, London, England and then 2-part Midwifery in Edinburgh, Scotland. Nursing opened many doors taking her to various Canadian provinces, Southern Sudan with CUSO, remote Northern communities and the Arctic.
In retirement, Mom was an avid quilter and we're all so lucky to have quilts made by her.
Pauline is survived by her daughters, Frances Frederickson (Bob) and Farida Barber; grandchildren, Kris Frederickson (Sara), Ainsley Scibak (Charlie) and Tara Peaker; great-grandchildren, Nora, Henry, Scarlett Frederickson and baby Scibak. Mom is also survived by many relatives in Scotland and England.
The family would like to thank palliative care, home care, Amanda Hopps NP extraordinaire, Sue Pearn and George Borrett who all helped allow Mom to pass away at home.
Mom's wish was to make a final journey to Scotland where a celebration of her life will be held next summer.
Mom believed no one should be homeless. Donations can be made to the Main Street Project, 75 Martha St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B 1A4.

Lovely tribute to my friend Pauline. I have wonderful memories of working together on the Labour floor at the Misericordia. Pauline had many interests and was an avid learner and reader. We had many thought provoking discussions on politics, women issues, social issues and astrology to name just a few. Our friendship lasted 40 years. I will miss her greatly! - Posted by: Sue Pearn (friend) on: Nov 02, 2019
