CECILIA LEMIEUX GILLESPIE
January 2, 1932 - November 1, 2019

Cecilia (Sis) Gillespie was born on January 2, 1932 in Barachois, a small community on the Gaspe coast in Quebec, to Francis and Inez Lemieux. She was the second oldest of 11 children. In 1953 she moved to Longlac, Ontario where she met and married her husband, Boris on June 28, 1958. Soon after they moved to Winnipeg, MB where she has lived ever since.
Five years ago she made Catherine Place her home and we send a big thank you to the staff for the super care given to her there.
Cecilia is survived by her two sons, Dale and Derrick; grandchildren, Blair (Claire), Megan and Vincent; great-grandchildren, Jude and Evelyn; her sisters, Dorothy, Mona (Nino) and Doreen; her brothers, Basil (Pam), Gillis (Maxine) and Gerry (Linda); and sisters-in-law, Lucille and Marie. She is also survived by a very special and close sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mona and Rob Wallace who have cared for and loved her dearly. What would we have done without you both? You two have always been there for Sis and you took such good care of her for us! Sis is also survived by in-laws, Danny (Brenda) and Nikki (Garth), as well as all her friends at Catherine Place.....you were all Family!
Sis was predeceased by her husband Boris, parents, Francis and Inez, her brothers, Floyd, Fred and Wilbert, her sister Rita, as well as her in-laws, Jerry, Lloyd, Rita and Don.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
