GERALD FRANCIS MARTIN

Gerald Francis Martin, a good man loved by all and not a bad golfer, of Gimli, MB, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2019 in his room at the Betel Care Home in Gimli, MB. Gerald was born on January 14, 1926 in Halifax, NS.
Gerald was predeceased by his wife, Mary Irene Martin (nee Arseneault) in March of 2002 and his son Michael David Martin, also of Gimli, who passed away in May of 2015.
Gerald is survived by his six sons, Ronald (Joy), Donald, Barry (Margaret), Gerald (Heather), Kenneth (Lyndi) and Kevin; three sisters, Anne, Elaine and Muriel of Nova Scotia. Gerald and Mary's grandchildren are Allison, Dylan and Anica, son and daughters of Michael and Shannon; Amy and Andrew, son and daughter of Gerald Jr. and Heather Martin; Dustin, son of Kenneth Martin; and one great-grandchild Derek Junior, son of Allison and Derek.
Gerald will have his ashes interred beside his wife Mary at the Gimli Community Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Betel Care Home for the very excellent care and companionship that they so wonderfully bestowed upon our father in his last years. We are so fortunate to have been able to place him into your caring hands. Thank you from all of us.
There will be a celebration of Gerald Francis Martin's life at a later date.
